This story hopes to engage children in understanding coronavirus by characterising it as “Vinny Virus”. By visualising the virus as a character this book endeavours to teach children the importance of hygiene at this difficult time. It also encourages them not to be afraid of Vinny and to always be prepared.As a mother of two small children, Zara and Demi, I hope that this story gives other parents the resources to explain the virus more easily and that young readers take on board what they can do to keep Vinny Virus at bay.
